Registration of a temporary refuge on the territory of the Slovak Republic

From 03/09/2022, 1:30 p.m. an online service is available for registering a temporary shelter. 

The form is an electronic declaration of a foreigner applying for temporary asylum. It is not used to reserve an appointment at the relevant workplace. By filling out the form, you will speed up your processing on the spot

• HUMENNÉ - closed since July 2. Municipal sports hall, Chemlonská 7, 066 01 Humenné, (GPS coordinates: 48.928481, 21.907303) ◦registration of the temporary refuge can be arranged at the OCP PZ in Michalovce from Monday to Friday from 07:00 a.m. to 7 p.m., the registration of pregnant women, families with children (only in cases where there is at least one child under the age of 6), elderly people over 65 and other vulnerable persons will also be handled by the Asylum Department of the PZ in Humenno (Hospital 1, 066 01 Humenné).

•ŽILINA - closed Poštová 1, 010 08 Žilina (GPS 49.21401808253313, 18.756865340480633) ◦registration of a temporary shelter can be arranged at the Department of Foreign Police in Žilina from Monday to Friday from 07:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Office hours 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. all life situations will be dealt with.

Tuesday, Thursday: from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the following will be processed:

1. Requests for the issuance of a document of residence for persons - drivers of international truck or bus transport whose validity of residence was/is extended due to:

◦ the crisis situation caused by the spread of the disease COVID 19,

◦ martial law in Ukraine ("LEX Ukraine").

2. Requests for the granting of national visas for bus drivers, drivers of international transport and drivers of domestic transport pursuant to SR Government Regulation no. 520/2021.

3. Requests for the granting of national visas for highly qualified nationals of third countries in accordance with the SR Government Regulation no. 521/2021.

4. Requests for the granting of national visas pursuant to Resolution of the Government of the Slovak Republic no. 731/2021 Applicants for temporary asylum: 

All applicants for temporary asylum are provided at the foreign police departments of PZ: Nitra, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Rimavská Sobota, Dunajská Streda, Trnava, Nové Zámky, Trenčín, Ružomberok, Prešov, Košice, Michalovce and the Asylum Department of PZ Humenné. They equip applicants for temporary shelter 3 days a week: 

Monday – Wednesday – Friday from 07.30 to 15.30 h.

Only pregnant women, families with children (only in cases where there will be at least one child under the age of 6), elderly people over 65 and other vulnerable persons are registered for temporary refuge at the Foreign Police Department of PZ Bratislava. It serves defined groups of applicants for temporary asylum 3 days a week. 

Monday – Wednesday – Friday from 07.30 to 15.30 h.

High-capacity registration centers equip applicants for temporary asylum with: 

1. Bratislava - Monday – Friday from 08.00 to 15.30 h.

2. Michalovce - from 30 June 2023 Closed
