Since April 2025, the Mobile Outreach Team of the Migration office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic has been providing professional services to asylum seekers who live outside the asylum facilities.
The team operates across the entire territory of Slovakia, mainly through field work based on your needs and prior agreement. Meetings can take place at the following locations:
- Your home or familiar environment;
- Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior at Pivonková 6, 812 72 Bratislava;
- Accommodation Centre for asylum seekers in Rohovce, 930 30 Rohovce;
- Reception Centre for asylum seekers in Humenné,Mierová 100, 066 01 Humenné.
Cultural Mediation and Social Counselling Services
How we can help you:
- Translation and interpreting for administrative and everyday matters;
- Accompaniment and assistance during visits to doctors, schools or state authorities, in case needed;
- Advice and support in everyday life situations;
- Orientation in Slovak society and legal system;
- Support in becoming self-reliant outside asylum facilities;
- Explanation of cultural norms and customs in Slovakia.
How we provide services:
- Individual or group conversations in your native language;
- Interpretation (non-judicial) with sensitivity to cultural differences;
- Accompaniment to offices or healthcare facilities;
- Lectures and workshops on employment, healthcare, social norms in Slovakia.
The cultural mediator is your key contact during the adaptation process in your new environment.

Psychological Counselling and Support
We can help you to cope with:
- Stress related to the asylum procedure;
- Psychological burden, loss and trauma;
- Loneliness;
- Crisis situations and the need for specialized care.
We do it by:
- Individual counselling in a confidential setting;
- Short-term interventions for crisis situations;
- Mental health screenings and referrals to specialists;
- Group sessions and psychological hygiene.
The Mobile Outreach Team psychologist helps you to handle difficult situations, reduce stress and prevent mental health challenges. Psychological support is essential for many asylum seekers facing trauma, loss, and uncertainty during the asylum process.
