Opening of the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava at a new address

On 18 May 2026, the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava will open its new premises at Račianska 62.

 The relocation of the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava to new premises represents a positive change for both the staff and the general public, primarily due to the improved accessibility of the building via public transport. 

Opening hours of the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava will remain the same:

• Monday: 7:30 – 15:30
• Tuesday: 7:30 – 15:00 (Granting a national visa, visa extension)
• Wednesday: 7:30 – 15:30
• Thursday: 7:30 – 14:00 (Granting a national visa, visa extension, temporary protection:
• registration + application for issuance of a document)
• Friday:  :30 – 15:30

Furthermore, in order to ensure the efficient and prompt processing of applicants at the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava, new options, namely"Biometrics" and "Information and Registry", have been added to the reservation system.

Foreign nationals are required to book an appointment under the "Biometrics" (biometric data collection) option in the following cases:

•  following the approval of an electronically submitted application,
•  upon the granting of a residence permit based on an application submitted at a Diplomatic Mission of the Slovak Republic,
•  following the electronic submission of an application for issuance of a document.

Foreign nationals are required to book an appointment under the "Information and Registry" option for the purpose of collecting documents, submitting additional documents to an application, collecting a verified invitation, or obtaining information.

 

Upon completing the reservation, it is necessary to retain the following details: the PIN code, the appointment date and time, the validity period of the reservation, and the address of the competent Foreign Police Department.

 

Please note that the Foreign Police Department in Bratislava will no longer process any administrative actions without a prior appointment made through the online reservation system.
