Reporting residence
Reporting the residence of a foreigner after entering the territory of the Slovak Republic
- with arranged accommodation in a facility – the facility is obliged to report the stay (hotel, hostel, guest house ...)
- with arranged accommodation in a private accommodation – there is an obligation to report the residence of a foreigner at the applicable office of the Department of the Foreign Police of the Police Force based on the address of residence in the territory of the Slovak Republic.
- A third-country national: within 3 working days of the date of entry to the territory of the Slovak Republic
- A citizen of the European Union and a family member of a citizen of the European Union: within 10 working days of the date of entry to the territory of the Slovak Republic
The accommodating facility or the foreigner fills in the form “Reporting residence” and ensures its handover/delivery to the applicable office of the Department of the Foreign Police of the Police Force.
NOTE: Pursuant to the Act on Residence of Foreigners (No. 404/2011 Coll.), the foreigner is obliged to sign the completed form when reporting the residence location.
