The Units of Foreign Police of the Police Force

With effect from 05.10.2020, in connection with the Resolution of the Government of the Slovak Republic no. 587/2020, only those persons who have an online reservation via the electronic service will be handled at the workplaces of the Foreign Police Departments. Requests of Persons without online reservation will be processed only in justified cases (special consideration, humanitarian reason) with the consent of the relevant director of the Border and Foreign Police Directorate.

The Foreign Police Unit of the Police Force in Bratislava (Regrútska st. 4), has adopted new measure due to enormous interest of clients in visit of this Unit. New measure has extended the working hours of the Unit also to Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. These two days will be reserved only to foreigners, who have made a booking through electronic booking system.  

Booking system on Unit of Foreign Police 

Simultaneously we would like to bring foreigner´s attention to the fact that there is no need to panic. Particularly in case of foreigners, whose granted residence is to expire in the near future, but they have not succeeded in booking a date and time of the visit for the prolongation of their permit in the timeframe of its validity.

Amendment of the Act on Residence of Foreigners (73/2020 Coll.) has automatically prolonged the validity of each temporary residence, permanent residence or tolerated residence, which would otherwise expire during the extraordinary situation, emergency actions or extreme measures adopted in connection with COVID-19 illness. This applies also for permits, which are to expire within one month from lifting of the crisis situation. Such permits are prolonged up to two months from lifting of a crisis situation. This means that foreigners may book any closest date and time for filling of an application for renewing of a residence even if that would be after presumable date of expiration of the original residence. Foreigners do not need to wait in queues in front of the Unit from early morning without being booked.

From 01.06.2020 in compliance with the established hygienic measures, the regime is renewed at all Units of Foreign Police in full, so how it was applied before the introduction of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All life situations will be accepted without restriction from 01.06.2020.

Working hours:

Monday: 7.30 – 15.00
Wednesday: 07.30 -17.30
Friday: 7.30 – 12.00 (exception the Units of Foreign Police Bratislava 07.30 – 14.00)
